Interest rates, inflation & housing outlook – Westpac’s view | Bill Evans [video]

It’s been an interesting week in the economy and in this video Westpac Chief Economist Bill Evans comments on number of matters…

Including  Governor Stevens speech for insight on interest rate cuts; inflation report for the June quarter; consumer sentiment from the budget; as well as, the Reserve Bank’s capacity to talk down the Australia dollar and adopt an easing bias that threatens to cut interest rates.

He explains how he’s looking ahead to this coming week’s building approvals and house price data for further insights on lending and housing outlook; as well as US data on growth and payrolls.
