Each year the Economist Intelligence Unit’s (EIU) Worldwide Cost of Living Survey compares 131 cities for their cost of living and once again Sydney (5th) and Melbourne (equal 6th) rank among the top 10 most expensive cities in the world in which to live.
Brisbane and Perth rank joint 21st and Adelaide came in 37th place
Of course it doesn’t surprise me that the cost of living in the greatest place in the world is higher than all those countries racked by civil war and unrest.
Europe is home to half of the 10 most expensive cities when ranked by cost of living, while on the other end of the scale Mumbai in India is ranked the cheapest to live.
