After months of hard work, endless tears and great style – The Block is official complete!
Editor of PropertyUpdate.com.au Liz Rudenko, takes a look at some of the highlights of the final rooms in the challenge apartment.
It has been an amazing season of The Block – we’ve seen some amazing styling, incredible architectural work, and even some groundbreaking new technology to make us green with envy.
On the last hurdle of their challenge apartment it would be easy to assume that there’s no ‘wow’ factors left to give by these exhausted contestants.
But just as the saying goes, some of them ‘left the best till last’.
And so the highlights…
Neale Whitaker said “someone is going to fall in love and they’re going to stay in love,” and it’s really not very hard to see why – Julia and Sasha’ kitchen could be summed up as simply divine.
The room is a perfect combination of Art Deco and contemporary, it shows both edge and warmth, and the addition of the ladder is just stunning, not to mention incredibly original.
Dark kitchens are really on trend at the moment, yet mixed with the wood, does not at all feel small or grim – and then there’s the marble.
The lit up marble at the bottom of the kitchen bench is simply stunning, and something that has ever been sen before, it truly creates a luxurious feel you would expect in a Port Melbourne apartment.
The second wow factor belonged to Karlie and Will – with their outdoor area.
It isn’t hard to imagine how much entertaining could be done in this space alone – especially with that fire pit area, which is perfect for Melbourne’s unpredictable weather.
The feel of the space almost has the sense that you’re at a really cool Melbourne bar, it really captured the Melbourne vibe.
The industrial and raw raw feel is very much on point, without feeling cold, thanks to the greenery around it and styling of the cushions
It’s all up to the hammer now….
Like with any auction there’s no telling what the outcome will be.
One thing’s for sure – it will be an auction to remember.
