The result is of course, that we bring who we are into how we grow our business, our team and those around us.

Who we are then, affects how we relate.

It shapes our perspective and view on the world.

It supports our opinions, our ethos and our strategies.

In business, it affects our relationship with clients, team members, suppliers and even fellow business operators.

The truth is, it is not about how our experiences and life contents have shaped us, as much as it is about how we use that shaping.

If we stop to consider the experience of shaping your business, it isn’t as difficult as you think.

Here are 5 simple steps that you can take that we have found have helped our clients at Business Accelerator Mastermind:

1. Mark sure you have a business plan

One of the keys to a successful business plan is to have it on one page so that it is easy to see everyday and is not a huge folder that collects dust on your shelf.

We encourage our clients to have a long term big picture to work toward BUT also, have a 90 day plan which will drive you to stay on track and feel excited about your achievements.

2. Take an interest in people

Get out there, network & find out what makes people happy (or what makes them tick!)

You don’t have to go to a network event and ask people what they do, just discover the person.

They are often more interesting and important than the actual business.

3. Hang out with successful people

Success Investors2If you mix with successful people you will have greater chance of success.

Successful people talk like winners and act like winners, which will lift your thoughts and actions so that you too will become a winner.

This will transform you personally and accelerate your business growth.

If you are not around winners than move.

4. Stand out from the crowd

Don’t spend lots of time reviewing previous business trends or even current business trends for that matter.

Adapt and become a part of the future trend by keeping a finger on the pulse and discovering the trend before it is mainstream.

5. Be Realistic

PlanYou are human, if you want to stay ahead of the game then you must have balance in your life.

Work/life balance is vital.

Even a robot needs to shut down for a break, so why wouldn’t you? Don’t be a passive player in the game of life, we can take the experience we have (both good and bad) and shape it to make the person we want to be, the business we want to have and the future we desire.

Make every moment count by being structured & consistent with your plans, stand out from the crowd by being ahead of the game and most importantly enjoy the journey.
