Becoming Wealthy is a Process not an Event | WEALTH RETREAT Lesson #1

Are you waiting for a once off event or maybe a big change of luck to boost your wealth?

If you are like the majority of Australians, winning the Lottery may appear like the only option to becoming Wealthy.

WealthOr perhaps you’re waiting for a large sum of money to be left to you by a relative?

When I started my journey to wealth, I was always waiting for something “big” to happen.

I too played the lottery and I hoped I would buy a property and develop it to then sell for a huge profit.

I was searching for a once off event, but it never seemed to come… there must be a better way I thought.

That is when I was fortunate enough to meet Tom Corley.

For 5 years, Tom observed and documented the daily activities of wealthy people and people living in poverty which culminated in his book, Rich Habits and then Rich Habits Poor Habits his international best seller co -authored with Michael Yardney.

Rich Habits

What Tom found is that wealthy people have eerily similar habits in life, in fact he identified around 200 of these habits.

From reading or self-educating for 30 minutes every day to daily exercise.

Parents take note… even making your bed is a habit of the rich!

There are habits ranging from happiness to health to wealth habits that all of these self-made millionaires had adopted, some examples include;

  • They had a mentor
  • They saved 20% or more of their income
  • They don’t spend spontaneous
  • They network and volunteer regularly
  • They give to charity
  • They have a purpose
  • They become obsessed

Below is some more from the man himself.

The Wealthy become Obsessed

Wealth is a Journey

To me, Tom has been a mentor for coming on 5 years now.

I describe him as the mentor that has had the biggest influence on my life, with the least amount of time.

Concept Of A Man Follows The Right WayHow? He has helped me understand that becoming wealthy and successful is a process and not an event.

I have been able to grasp this philosophy and make changes to my mindset and little changes within my life.

I set goals and have dreams that I now understand can be achieved by adopting Rich Habits where I can take baby steps towards them every day.

I become obsessed and have directed all of my energies into achieving my life’s goals.

Most importantly, I am now taking action and getting closer to my goals every day, rather than waiting… and waiting for something to happen.

I now have a blue print to creating wealth.

Conclusion

As the saying goes “Don’t wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it!”.

Goal LocalIf you are wanting to create a certain level of wealth, don’t leave it to chance.

Take matters into your own hands, take action and create a blue print to achieve your dreams and goals, then work backwards and develop the steps to help you get there.

It will never happen if you are waiting for that ship to come in, take baby steps every day and work through the process.

These are the secrets to creating wealth and achieving your goals.
