Thank You

It’s the beginning of a New Year and a time I try and appreciate all the good that has occurred in my life over the last year.

It too is easy to take it all for granted, to take too many people for granted.thank you grateful appreciate happy thankful kind life

To be too busy to even think about it.

By the time you read this I'll be on a plane to another continent taking an extended vacation with Pam.

Don't worry - this daily blog will still be going out thanks to the wonders of technology (another one of those things I take for granted.)

Yes it's a time to feel grateful and be thankful because...

There is a veritable army of people working for my benefit every day

Some I know and some know me.  the-world-9

Others not – like the men and women in the Australian military putting their life ‘n limbs at risk in places and situations I’d never go, so I can sit here comfortably, write and freely express my opinion without the demand that I adopt a particular religion or be beheaded.

I live in a (relatively) safe country because of our police force.

I have a safe and secure environment because of our politicians.

I can assist clients around the world because of the Internet and can freely pass on education to readers of my Podcast blogs and books.

Closer, there is Pam, an indescribably important mate.Teamwork and team spirit

I have been able to create all this- this newsletter, the Metropole Group of Companies and my own substantial property portfolio - this wealth has come because of all sorts of people working for and with me benefit, not simply because of my own ambition, ability or fortitude.

These include those who work and have worked “in the trenches” at Metropole and our many professional affiliates.

People who I’ve been very fortunate to find, that I’ve been able to trust and delegate to for years, even decades.

In a funny way I'm even grateful for the handful  of people who have been thorns in my side, because they have been motivational forces.

Here's a little secret:

Few top achievers aren't there by positive influence alone.

Most choose to channel some resentment, anger, redemptive desire, vengeful spirit, dark experience, etc. into power.

And I especially feel grateful to you… thank-you-971644_1280

I have over 115,000 subscribers to my weekly newsletter and a smaller number (including YOU) who subscribe to my daily blog.

And thanks to the many  subscribers who allow me into their ears each week thought the Michael Yardney Podcast

You see...performance is not possible in an empty theater.

What a great privilege it  is to have large and ever-growing numbers of people with sustained, enduring interest in what I have to say and teach!

Some with me for close to two decades!

I cannot tell YOU enough or often enough how much I appreciate you

Respect you. And wish you success.

Whether you are a property investor, a business owner, an entrepreneur – without you, this entire economy grinds to a halt.

We are all, as the famous playwright described us, often out there, way out there, with little more than “a smile and a shoeshine” creating, making things happen, morphing ambition and determination into fuel for everyone’s engine and food for everyone’s table.

You are grossly under-appreciated by most, but not by me

I believe there should be a mandatory class in every high school called: “Gratitude For Those Who Pay The Bills And Provide The Jobs”.

Many Australians are utterly ignorant of the fact that our system is actually an upside down pyramid - the few congregated in the tiny point shouldering and supporting itthank yous big, broad, heavy base.

They look at it as an upright pyramid, with few lords at its top and beaten, whipped, downtrodden masses at its bottom and ask our government to change the "system."

I know better and so do you.

On behalf of those who don’t understand, I’ll say their thank you, thank you, thank you.

They won’t. I will.

2019 been a great year for me personally and professionally – I wish you a Happy New Year and a Healthy and Prosperous 2020.
