Here is my list of my 10 best property investing podcasts so you can learn about investing in real estate in Australia whilst on the go.
By the way…we don’t only talk about property investment.
My guest and I share tips and strategies about money and success and the most popular segment seems to be my Mindset Message.
I don’t know about you, but I enjoy listening to Podcasts – it’s one of the ways I keep learning.
And if you haven’t had a chance to get into Podcasts yet – maybe now is a good time to get started…I’ll show you how.
I recently celebrated the first birthday of the The Michael Yardney Podcast and in that time it’s had over 250,000 downloads and has consistently ranked amongst Australia’s top business podcasts on iTunes.
So far, including the bonus episodes, I’ve recorded close to 60 episodes, and with a new one coming out each week, it will take you some time to catch up.
But since you probably won’t make the time commitment to listen to every one (though I advise you should), I am going to help you out.
I figured it would be nice to share my top 10 Australian property podcast episodes.
Note that this list is NOT necessarily a top 10 in terms of listens.
It is my subjective opinion, which just so happens to have significant overlap with the top 10 in terms of listens.
You can listen to these episodes on your computer or smartphone or if you don’t have time now, or haven’t yet subscribed to my Podcast, it’s easy to do so and listen later.
That way you’ll be kept up to date with future episodes
So enough of my talking, let’s get into it….
My Top 10 Michael Yardney Podcast Episodes
In this episode I talk about one of the reasons many investors fail and how to find an investment grade property.
I also share how to become the pilot of your life and not the passenger.
In this episode I decided to try and distill the information, investment philosophies, tips and tricks that I and my guests have shared with you over the past year into one jam packed show.
Where will our property markets be in three years time? In this episode I explain how we’re going through a bit of a rough patch in the property cycle at present, which leaves a lot of people wondering what comes next.
The availability of credit has tightened, and we’re in the face of slumping prices in some places and slower growth in others.
I explain why you shouldn’t panic and how the market is behaving normally.
If you’re a parent or a grandparent or planning to become one, this show is for you. I believe it’s our job to teach our children good money habits.
And even if you’re not planning to become a parent, Tom Corley and I will be discussing some important money lessons in this Rich Habits Poor habits podcast.
If you want to become a better investor, this episode is for you.
Today I’m going to chat with you about two important topics that will be relevant whether you’re a beginning investor or a seasoned pro.
Firstly, I talk about the 7 habits of highly effective investors. I look at the 7 habits of highly effective people and explain how these approaches to success also relate to investing.
Then, I’ll go through an exercise of deciding what I would teach my 21-year-old self if I could go back in time with the knowledge I have now.
You may want to try the same exercises. Chances are, the lessons you would teach are some of the same lessons you should focus on today.
6. What’s the right investment strategy for this stage of the cycle | The big difference between winners and losers
What’s the right investment strategy now that we’ve moved to the next stage of the property cycle?
When it comes to property investing, you will often hear two conflicting philosophies. Some say you should invest for capital growth, and others say you should invest for positive cash flow.
Now that we are in a period where capital growth is going to be lower, more investors are wondering if they should change their investment strategy and look for cash flow positive properties.
This is exactly what we discuss in this show.
The first half of the show we talk about finding the right investment strategy, and in the second half we talk about finding the right property.
In this episode I answer the frequently asked question of how many properties do I need to retire.
This just may be the wrong question because the number of properties you need before quitting your job depends on your assets value and how hard your money is working
8. The biggest changes I’ve seen in property in the last decade | What would I do differently if I started over again? | 9 predictions for property in the next decade
Everybody wants to know what is ahead in the world of real estate, but I was recently asked about the biggest changes I have seen looking back over the last decade.
In this episode I share these, and then I look forward to my 9 property predictions for the next decade.
9. 9 reasons not to invest in property | Michael’s Mindset Moment | Pete Wargent’s prediction for the future of property
In this episode I share 9 reasons not to invest in property, and in my mindset moment, I’m going to be a bit of a thorn in your side.
Then my guest, Pete Wargent gives us some predictions for the future of property.
In this episode I talk about which properties to avoid if you want to be a successful investor.
While it’s important to understand what properties make good investments, it’s equally important to understand which properties you should not buy.
