When you think of a veranda - words like relaxed, tranquil and comfortable come to mind.
Of course, when it's a veranda on The Block - it must have a little 'je ne sais quoi' to make it special.
There were only 2 teams that produced something truly special this week.
Style Highlights ...
As their vision from week one begins to all come together Mitch and Mark produced 2 spaces that are not only visually stunning but encompass the St Kilda lifestyle beautifully.
On level two, they created a relaxed, comfortable chill-out space, placing an overstuffed cane couch with two cane occasional chairs, a large grey rug, a coffee table, potted plants and a gorgeous rattan buffet full of blankets.
But it's the upstairs area that brought it all together.
As an extension of the full floor entertaining area, Mitch and Mark created a beautiful outdoor dining area, complete with plants, that gorgeous wooden table with 12 fire-framed chairs and ceiling-mounted speakers for those lazy long lunches and evening soirees.
Despite having the smallest budget Tess and Luke delivered a modern and relaxed space - that is perfectly reflective of the St Kilda vibe.
On level two, they created a relaxed, outdoor family area - with two occasional chairs, a bench seat and a coffee table, perfect for that morning coffee overlooking the view.
They styled the space with a colour pallet of charcoals, greys, and creams - which worked beautifully against the metal grey exterior paint used on the veranda woodwork.
On level three, the couple extended the feel of their luxurious bedroom out to the veranda, furnishing the space with a beautiful lounge, concrete coffee table, oversized plants, and a gorgeous, outdoor bar - perfect for breakfast, or that Sunday afternoon wine.
Still ahead …
With the end in sight - it's going to be a HUGE week and reveal!
