The Block 2019 | Master Bedroom reveals

A master bedroom should be tranquil, calming and stylish.

In theory creating a bedroom doesn’t seem so hard – after all, it’s just a bit of wall paint and cushions, right?

Wrong!

A master bedroom takes a lot of work, particularly when it comes to The Block – it must be the perfect combination of stylish, luxurious and functional, not to mention fitting for the St. Kilda surroundings.

Style highlights …

It may not have been a bedroom - but Mitch and Mark created a truly stunning entertainment space, complete with cathedral ceiling, kitchen prep area, and ensuite.

Channeling a very Palm Springs vibe, the room really suits St Kilda and would appeal to any buyer that enjoys the art of entertaining.

The standout here is that gorgeous heritage wallpaper - it sets such a bright, light, fun tone for the space and compliments all the styling choices beautifully.

Their choice of furniture and styling is gorgeous featuring a bamboo print, rattan chairs and that amazing large mosaic table which brings the whole look together.

When it came to the actual 'Master Bedrooms', my favourite room had to be Deb and Andy who created a beautiful, light, fresh, contemporary feel in their Master Bedroom.

I love their colour platter of blush pink and green - particularly with their bed which is incredibly elegant - and while many of the couples went for a dark colour, I loved the cherry pink shade, giving the room a lot of softness.

The large feature plant, nestled inside a woven basket, worked beautifully, giving the room an extra freshness and style.

Moving into the wardrobe, I couldn't go past the wallpaper - fresh and modern.

The functionality of the wardrobe is on-point and perfectly balanced

The second bedroom that really delivered in my eyes was from Tess and Luke.

Inspired by the colours in their chosen artwork, the pallet in the room was royal blue and burnt orange, no doubt a risky and bold choice, but it totally paid off in the final results.

The custom-made parquetry inlaid bedhead is stunning, modern and original.

There is a real sense of lightness and brightness here, that largely comes thanks to the lovely skylight, which the couple cleverly chose to position above the bed.

Still ahead …

Next week is set to be a showstopper with some incredible master bathroom
