Sydney Houses Cross the One Million Dollar Threshold
New data released by SQM Research today has revealed that Sydney’s median asking price for free standing houses (Includes terraces, but excludes townhouses) has surpassed the one million dollar mark, recording a median asking price of $1,005,800 as of this morning’s weekly update.
Further confirming our forecasts for this capital city in recent years to outperform, this news highlights just how expensive the Sydney property market has become.
Although this may have no immediate significant impact to the market right now it would be impossible to purchase a free standing house in Sydney’s inner ring for under a million dollars, and will become increasingly difficult to purchase a free standing house in Sydney’s middle ring for under a million dollars.
