As a heaving user of mobile phones – I love my IPhone – I get a little concerned when the media writes about the effects of radiation produced by phones.
Of course, the jury’s still out on whether phones pose any kind of danger. But I took the time to read the most recent study from the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer that received –you can download it by clicking here. link
What especially worries me is how young children are already using mobile phones- their levels of exposure will be huge over their lifetimes.
Even though the level of risk is uncertain, aren’t we better safe than sorry? It’s a bit like wearing a seatbelt preventatively just in case of the possibility of a crash, even though not all crashes are fatal.
From my reading, it’s pretty easy to virtually eliminate their radiation risks. Here are four ways:
- Use a corded earpiece.
- Use a Bluetooth headset.
- Use your phone’s speakerphone.
- Use a 3 G smartphone – they emit less radiation.
While I use a blue tooth in my car, I’ve been using the corded earpiece that comes with my IPhone lately – no one seems to complain about the sound quality.
