There’s a new free property app on the block that gives iPhone users detailed information on the value of any house they point their handset towards.
Just pointing your iPhone at a particular property and you will be able to see the last sale price of the property, and if the home is actually for sale, the app will bring up a listing from realestate.com.au with details such as home layout and pictures.
Detailing sales prices of 95% of Australian homes, the free app has been launched by the Commonwealth Bank.
Historical house price data is supplied by Rpdata and in the past was only available for a fee, but much of the other information is already publically available on the internet. But this ap brings it all together in a neat package.
“This will give buyers a much better understanding when going into the purchasing process, and give sellers more realistic expectations,” said James Sheffield, general manager of mortgage wealth, for the Commonwealth Bank.he said.
The app includes a mortgage calculator, links to home loan and house valuation services, as well as demographic and pricing data for individual suburbs.
If you’ve got an iPhone (I’ve had one for years and looking forward to my new iPhone4) download the app from the AppStore or by clicking here.
