Biggest mistake investors make with negative gearing in this current market is to excessively borrow and pay exorbitant prices because negative gearing allows them to do so, thinking the tax man is paying for most of it.
Second biggest mistake with negative gearing is not realising that a negatively geared investor is running a property at a substantial LOSS!
Im sure the same investor would never do this in running a business and thats how property should be viewed.
Buying and running investment property should be viewed as running a business.
