Every year, the Cato Institute publishes a list of the world’s most “miserable countries” by using a simple economic formula to calculate the scores.
If you’re reading this blog odds are your in one of the luckiest countries in the world, but the infographic below gives some interesting insights.
The Misery Index is the tally for each country is found by adding the unemployment rate, inflation, and lending rate together, and then subtracting the change in real GDP per capita.
