In this week’s two minute property investment news video I talk about a few of the new major projects that have been given the go ahead in QLD.
Major projects that have been given the go ahead might help some coastal areas in Queensland. An $8 billion project in Cairns and a $7.5 billion project on the Gold Coast have been able to proceed to the next stage of development, after being given approval by the Queensland Government.
Deputy Premier Jeff Seeney says the two projects will receive gaming licenses, provided they meet the environmental and planning requirements.
The project in Cairns is planned to be a massive resort and it’s even described as a mega resort. It’s expected to create close to 4000 construction jobs and more than 10,000 operational jobs.
The Broadwater marine project on the Gold Coast is a huge resort and cruise ship terminal and would also create thousands of jobs.. so I guess good news for these two areas after what’s been a tough period for both parts of Australia.
