The Melbourne property market has performed strongly over the last 10 years.
In fact it’s been the strongest performing property market over the last decade according to the following chart from CoreLogic:
But when you drill deeper you’ll find there are markets within markets and obviously some locations have performed better than others.
Melbourne’s top performing suburbs
Domain Group data shows that across Melbourne, 115 suburbs have had their median price double in the past 10 years and, in general, these were inner and middle ring suburbs that gentrified.
By the way… median prices in St Kilda West and Mont Albert have more than tripled!
